At the beginning of the year I managed to pickup a special little Russian nugget that was to be my first foray into film, the Zenit-E global camera. Built in the Soviet Union era this metallic brick uses standard 35mm film and features a completely mechanical light meter.

I took of a remaining roll with me to rotary revival 10 at Sydney Motorsport Park and was anxiously waiting to see how the photos had turned out. A sigh of relief when I saw the results, these are direct digital copies of the shots untouched otherwise. Shot on ISO400 with a Elicar 35mm f2.8 lens.

All in all an awesome learning experience changing from a digital mirrorless system. I’m excited to take this thing around with me more as well as my regular setup. Hopefully I can figure out how to make the most of it in the future.
